Programme Structure
🟢 Beginners (White to Yellow Belt)
- Basic stances, strikes, and blocks
- Introduction to kihon (fundamental techniques)
- Simple kumite (sparring) drills to build reaction speed
- First kata (Pinan Nidan) – movement patterns and discipline
- Fun partner exercises promoting teamwork and confidence
🔵 Intermediate (Orange to Green Belt)
- Refining kihon & kumite techniques
- Stronger emphasis on timing, distance, and movement control
- Learning Pinan Shodan and Pinan Sandan kata
- Self-defence applications based on Wado Ryu principles
- Increasing fitness & endurance through structured drills
🟠 Advanced (Blue Belt & Above)
- Complex kumite drills improving agility and strategy
- Kata progression – Pinan Yondan and Pinan Godan
- Introduction to soft blocking and redirection techniques
- Applying Wado Ryu’s tai sabaki (body shifting) for fluid movement
- Advanced self-defence strategies and sparring practice
